kristen and eric? >> happening now, power is back on at treasure island and there is a look from mount tamalpais, the power went out at 2:30 this morning, and no cause has been announced yesterday. of course the company had crews on scene trying to figure out the cause. they restored service just before 5:30 this morning. now, developing news from the south bay we are learning more about the suspect from santa clara accused of threatening a sacramento lawmaker from san francisco and storing explosives in his home. our reporter joins us live with what is happening today in the investigation. cornell? >> good morning. c.h.p. is keeping a close watch on this house where another homemade bomb was discovered on wednesday. they plan to blow it up later this morning in a bomb squad trailer.

we are learning some more surprising and bizarre details about the man living here. police searched the house two days ago after they say homeowner made a threat against state senator leland ye. on thursday a homemade bomb was blown up by the bomb squad and a further search showed up more hazardous materials. neighbors are not too surprised calling the suspect different. >> there were radio antennas and tv antennas so i was curious. >> that is not what we were looking for so it was an eye opener. didn't expect to find what we did officially so we are working on making the seen safe as we process the evidence. >> another surprise, he is a software engineer who worked directly with apple co-founder

the "burners" were fired into the cabin to try to flush dorner out the. >> police are talking to witnesses to fine the person would stabbed a san jose teenager to death. the victim was stabbed next to the campus of san jose high school yesterday afternoon. he stumbled around the corner to north 21st where he died. this is where investigators searched for evidence for self hours. police have not identified the teen or revealed the cause of the stabbing. >> a school district is considering re-opening an old school to help climbing enrollment. our media partner reports the menlo park city school district could re-open the former o'connor school on elliott drive this time for 2014 school year. right now a private school leases the campus. the school district is projecting 8 percent rise in enrollment the next 10 years and a meeting will take place next

live doppler 7 hd shows no radar returns. it is dry. we are detecting the dry air above that fog which is 700' in depth, the thickest around novato and up 101 at quarter-mile visibility in napa and half moon bay and half moon bay. there is patchy fog around the bayshore line. we will start off in the low-to-mid 40's. hang out in the afternoon and mid-to-upper 60's and it will be mild for the evening plans at 52 to 57 degrees. inland we have fog, thickest in the north bay with not many reports there. hazy by noon and temperatures in the mid-to-upper 50's and the afternoon will be full of sunshine and low-to-mid 60's and milder but cooler under land during the evening hours and 47 to 52 and headed to the cost it is cloudy this morning at 40 to 45 and a land breeze by noon with total sunshine and 357 to 62 the enjoy it. here is sue.

we go to the skyway coming off of the bay bridge and 80 westbound, you can see traffic is moving nicely and the tail lights are headed southbound to the 101 slit where we have reports of an accident and i don't see any slowing and c.h.p. has not updated that. we will keep our eye on that. elsewhere back to the bay bridge toll plaza they say there is an accident at toll lane number four. east 580 at greenville the big rig is cleared out of lanes. westbound, however, is slow from the central valley toward livermore and through the dublin/pleasanton area with speeds of 35 miles per hour. kristen and eric? >> developing news from the east bay, with alameda sheriff investigators are looking into a deadly shooting outside an elementary school. amy joins us live from san leandro. amy? >> i have breaking news.

the sheriff announced that hillside elementary in san leandro will be closed. they cannot let children on to the campus today. they want to wait until the sun comes up and they can look the scene campus and search it for evidence. they need to keep the street blocked off and the campus closed. they state murder happened on the campus not outside of it. they need access to the entire area. they don't want people on it. they got a call at 9:00 last night that shots were fired. when officers arrived they found a young adult man was shot. he was taken to the hospital where he died. no arrests were made. investigators say they don't have any leads. or anything they want to release to the public. they still have a thorough search to do and they cannot open up the campus. if you are a parent in this area, in san leandro, hillside elementary has in school today.

over. officials are working to positively identify the charred remains of the body removed from the cabin yesterday. we hear from the owners of a lodge who found dorner inside a cabin. >> i was scared. i thought it could be the end. he talked to us. he tried to calm us down. he said frequently, he would not kill us. >> the former lapd officer is believed to is killed a sheriff deputy and wounded another on tuesday before he holed up in the cabin thattent with up in flames and he is suspected in three our murders in the los angeles area. >> daytime buck laters have the san mateo county sheriff on alert -- and our news reporter says this has occurred in two days in san carlos. thieves can kicked doors and entered homes between 8:00 a.m.

that is the problem when we forecast for seven days we forget to enjoy what is here. mid-to-upper 60's around all neighborhoods but the coast is low-to-mid 60's. 66 at monterey but 68 to sunday for the rest of the bay and inland. tonight, the hold out in the 30's is santa rosa at 39 and the rest of us are in the low-to-mid 40's but san francisco and half moon bay at 48 and 47. the high pressure over the land is taking over and that is why we are seeing the land breeze develop. that is why we are going to stay dry and warm today and tomorrow, but when you combine with the other area of high pressure it will keep the storm track to the north and as we get deeper in the weekend watch out for the tree pollen and they are really ready to blossom, and they are going to create issues, but they will be tempered in the next system, with japan right there, that is how far away we look for the next chance of wet weather. this weekend by the time of the holiday on monday temperatures
